Getting everyone in, on the site and on the property.

What we have built into this website, what the estate is actually like to move around, and who to call when the answer here is not enough.

This website

Built to WCAG 2.1 AA, and checked rather than assumed.

Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on each link, button and form field. Headings run in order so a screen reader can skip through a page instead of reading it end to end. Images that carry meaning have alt text, and images that are decoration are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.

Text and background color pairs are measured against the WCAG AA contrast ratio, not eyeballed. The venue tour video on the home page is a real button, not a picture of one, so it can be reached and played with a keyboard.

If you have reduced motion turned on in your operating system, the site respects it and the animations do not run.

The property

One level, short distances, grass in between.

The three venues sit on one estate rather than being spread across a campus, so the walk between a ceremony and a reception is short. Parking is on site.

Some of the ground between spaces is grass and garden path, which matters for wheelchairs, walkers and heels. If a guest needs a firm route, a drop-off close to the door, or a seat within easy reach of the restrooms, tell your coordinator when you plan the layout — that is exactly the kind of thing the coordinator exists to arrange, and it is far easier to design in than to solve on the day.

Before you book

Ask on the tour, and bring the specifics.

The most useful thing you can do is name the actual need on the tour: a wheelchair, an oxygen concentrator that needs power, a guest who cannot manage a step, a hearing loop, a service animal. We would rather walk the route with you in advance than guess.

Call 813-909-3414 and ask for the coordinator.

If any part of this website is hard to use with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or a phone, email savethedate@saxonevents.com or call 813-909-3414. Say which page and what happened, and we will get back to you.

If you cannot reach the information you need on the site at all, call us and we will read it to you, send it another way, or answer it directly.
