Wedding Date Planning
Your wedding date decides your venue, your season, and how far ahead you need to plan.
The date you pick determines your venue, your season, and how far ahead you need to plan. Here's how to choose it with Saxon Manor in mind.

Where To Start
Your room choice comes before your date.
Saxon Manor has three rooms, and each one has its own guest capacity and price range. The Manor Barn and the Garden Room each hold up to 150 guests and run $15,000 to $21,000 all-inclusive. The BoHo space holds up to 55 guests and runs $9,500 to $12,500. Your date is tied to which room you pick, because a specific room on a specific Saturday is one slot, not three. We're currently booking 2026 and 2027, so the earlier you decide on a room, the more Saturdays you'll have to choose from. If you already know your guest count, start there — it narrows your date search before you ever open a calendar.
Brooksville sits in central Florida, which means summer brings heat, humidity, and daily afternoon storms, while late fall through early spring is drier and cooler. None of that rules out any month here — the Manor Barn and Garden Room are indoor spaces, so a July wedding isn't the gamble it would be at an uncovered outdoor venue. What the season changes is guest comfort for anyone traveling in, and how much time you'll spend on a rain plan for photos or a cocktail hour outside. If you want mild evenings for outdoor portraits, aim for November through April. If your family already lives nearby, weather matters less and the date can be about them.
Once you have a season and a room in mind, work backward from your date using a full wedding planning timeline, so vendors, dress fittings, and invitations land in the right order instead of piling up in the last month. If you're weighing the Manor Barn against the Garden Room for the same date, the full breakdown of capacity and pricing lives on the pricing page. And before you print anything with a date on it, confirm the legal requirements for Florida — the rules on marriage licenses in Hernando County affect how early you can finalize.
The Process
Follow these four steps to land on a date.
Decide on your room first.
The Manor Barn, Garden Room, and BoHo each have their own calendar. Pick the room that fits your guest list and budget, then ask which Saturdays are open in that room for 2026 or 2027.
Pick a season, not just a month.
Central Florida summers are hot and humid with regular afternoon storms; late fall through early spring runs drier and cooler. Both work indoors at Saxon Manor — the difference is guest comfort and outdoor photo conditions.
Check the date against your guest list.
The Manor Barn and Garden Room hold up to 150 guests; BoHo holds up to 55. If your list is still growing, hold off on locking a date into the smaller room.
Confirm it with a tour.
A date on a website isn't a hold. Call 813-909-3414 or request a tour to confirm the room and date together before you tell your guests.
Timing And Flexibility
Weekdays and off-season dates open up options.
Saturday is the default wedding day for a reason — it's easiest for out-of-town guests and it doesn't cut into anyone's workweek. But a Friday or Sunday date at Saxon Manor gives you access to the same rooms, the same in-house team, and the same package, and often more calendar options open in the season you want. Holiday weekends fill early because families are already gathered, so if a date near a holiday matters to you, call sooner rather than later. If your guest list is mostly local and doesn't need to travel far, a non-Saturday date is worth asking about the moment you start checking availability for your room.
Booking early doesn't just protect your room, it protects your date from other traditions layered onto the calendar — school schedules, hunting season openers, and the graduation and holiday crowding that fills central Florida venues months out. We're currently booking weddings for 2026 and 2027, and the couples with the most flexibility are the ones who started this conversation twelve to eighteen months ahead. That's not a rule, it's just how the calendar tends to fill for the Manor Barn and Garden Room in particular, since both cap at 150 guests and get requested for the same handful of prime Saturdays each season.
Once your date is close to locked, read up on Florida's marriage license rules so the paperwork doesn't become the reason you have to move a date — the requirements are straightforward, but they have their own timing and their own waiting period. Saxon Manor's part is simple: tell us the room, the guest count, and the season you want, and we'll tell you what's actually open. There's no advantage to guessing at a date before you've confirmed a room is available in it. The price you're quoted is the wedding you get, and that starts with picking a real date on a real calendar, not a placeholder you'll have to fight for later.
