The Weekend, Not Just The Day

A multi-day wedding uses three rooms instead of three vendors.

A multi-day wedding weekend means more than one event on the calendar: a rehearsal dinner the night before, the ceremony and reception the next day, and often a brunch the morning after. Some venues make you piece that together with three separate vendors, three contracts, and three sets of logistics. Saxon Manor runs all three on one property in Brooksville, using different rooms for different moments. The rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch happen in the BoHo space; the wedding itself happens in the Barn or Garden Room. Because one company runs all of it, your coordinator already knows the layout, the timing, and the staff for every event on the schedule, not just the main one.

BoHo holds up to 55 guests and is built for the smaller gatherings around your wedding day, not the wedding itself. A rehearsal dinner, a bridal shower, or a day-after brunch in that space runs $2,000 to $3,000, booked separately from your ceremony and reception package. That price includes the room and the coordination that goes with it, so you are not negotiating a second vendor relationship for a Friday night dinner or a Sunday morning send-off. If your wedding is in the Barn or Garden Room, BoHo becomes the natural second stage for your weekend, close enough that guests do not have to find a new address twice in two days.

The Bridal Suites have three rooms, which matters more on a multi-day weekend than a single-day one. A wedding party getting ready for a rehearsal dinner Friday and a ceremony Saturday needs somewhere to leave belongings, hang dresses, and reset in between, without hauling everything back to a hotel each night. Families flying or driving in from Tampa or Orlando often use the suites as a home base for the weekend rather than a single-morning stop. It is a small detail, but it is the kind of detail that either makes a two-day event feel organized or makes it feel like everyone is improvising in a parking lot.

Building The Schedule

Here is the order a Saxon Manor wedding weekend actually comes together in.

  • Lock the venue and the year.

Saxon Manor is currently booking 2027 and 2028. Pick your ceremony date first, in the Barn or Garden Room, since that date anchors the rest of the weekend. Everything else on this list gets scheduled around it, not the other way around.

  • Reserve BoHo for the rehearsal dinner.

Book the BoHo space for Friday night, separately from your main package, at $2,000 to $3,000 for up to 55 guests. Confirm the time with your coordinator so setup for Saturday’s ceremony doesn’t overlap with Friday’s teardown.

  • Plan the ceremony and reception day.

This is the day covered by your Barn or Garden Room package: ceremony, reception, catering, bar, photography, and music. See what’s included for the full list and pricing for what changes the number inside each range.

  • Close the weekend with brunch.

Book BoHo again for Sunday morning if you want a formal goodbye instead of guests scattering after the reception. It runs on the same $2,000 to $3,000 range as the rehearsal dinner, for up to 55 guests.

Guests, Coordination, And Timing

The parts of a multi-day wedding that live outside the venue still need a plan.

Brooksville sits 45 minutes from Tampa and 90 minutes from Orlando, close enough that most guests drive in for the weekend rather than book flights. That matters for a multi-day event: a rehearsal dinner Friday, a wedding Saturday, and a brunch Sunday only work if people can actually get here three times without a long haul. Out-of-town family typically arrives Thursday or Friday and stays through Sunday, which means your weekend needs a clear schedule they can follow, not a loose plan you’re re-explaining by text. Send the rehearsal dinner time, the ceremony time, and the brunch time out together, once, well ahead of the weekend.

Saxon Manor is family owned, and weddings are the only business it runs, which is a different thing than a hotel or event hall that also hosts conferences and corporate parties on the side. Across a multi-day weekend, that focus shows up in small ways: the same design and coordination team that plans your Saturday reception also knows what a Friday rehearsal dinner and a Sunday brunch need, because they run all three regularly, not occasionally. You are not explaining your event from scratch to a new manager for each date. One point of contact carries the whole weekend, which is most of what makes a multi-day event feel planned instead of assembled.

One planning detail multi-day couples miss: your Florida marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date it’s issued, so it needs to be obtained before your ceremony but doesn’t have to be picked up the same week. The rules on cost, waiting periods, and who can legally marry are specific to Hernando County and covered fully on our legal requirements page; that’s the one to read before you build the rest of the weekend’s schedule. Handle it early, well before the rehearsal dinner, so it’s one less thing competing for attention on the days that actually matter.
