Florida weather
Preparing for weather you cannot predict.
You cannot forecast a Florida afternoon eight months out. You can remove the decision from the day itself, which is the only part that actually matters.

The real risk
It is not the rain. It is the decision.
Florida rain is usually brief. What ruins a wedding is the hour before it, when somebody has to decide whether to move, nobody has the authority to say so, and a hundred and fifty guests are watching the sky.
Every useful weather plan is really a decision plan. Who calls it, by when, and what happens automatically once they do.
What to settle in advance
Three questions, answered at booking rather than on the day.
Who makes the call
One named person, not a committee and not the couple. You should be getting ready, not reading radar.
What the cut-off time is
A specific hour, agreed in advance. "We will see how it looks" is not a time.
What changes when they call it
If the answer involves a phone call to a rental company, it is not a plan. It should be a room that is already there.
Practical
Things that genuinely help.
- Build the schedule with half an hour of slack. Weather plans eat time.
- Tell the photographer the indoor plan exists so they have already scouted it.
- Put ceremony chairs somewhere they can be dried, not somewhere they will sit in it.
- Season matters more than the date. The cooler dry months behave very differently from an August afternoon.
Here
Three rooms on one property.
The plan is that your wedding moves indoors with the same team, on the same property, at the same price. There is no tent invoice and no morning phone call, because there is nothing to hire. The full rain plan is here, and how to build one anywhere else is here.
